But it is my experience that they just don't understand the Ugly Yellow Sign Strategies. Most of the comments I read are simply untrue.  Most of the fodder on the net talks about one strategy and it usually is implemented in the wrong way.   I have tested over 5000 UYS and developed about a dozen different strategies that have had great results. I'm not looking to pick on anyone but for example this comment I read on active rain: probably have a good reason for their response.  But it is my experience that they just don't really understand the

"Bad thing this time of year is that I compete with political signs"

The truth is Ugly Yellow Signs don't really compete with political signs. In fact my signs tend to last longer on the street when there are a bunch of political sign around it and my response stayed the same. My experience is that the street cleaners tend to leave them alone during the political season.

Ugly Yellow Signs are not to be used as a branding device but more as a lead generating device. The recent net banter about ugly yellow signs is simply comming from the wrong mindset. Yes, they do work and work well, not just because they get attention but having the right system in place to take full advatage of their benefit. Sellers want there home sold period, and if real estate agents understand the proper use of ugly yellow signs there are very few sellers if any that would reject the idea.

Ugly Yellow Signs are not about branding unless you want to disclose your marketing strategies to your clients to show some of the guerilla marketing strategies that you employ.  For example I am the Ugly Yellow Sign agent in my area, everyone else who tries to do it are looked at as copycats.  I have clients choose me because of my unorthadox techniques so I am known for them.
